Happy Birthday Pattie Boyd!

Pattie Boyd was born in England on March 17th, 1944. Pattie, a former model, married George Harrison in 1966. The couple divorced in 1974, and Boyd married George’s best friend Eric Clapton.

Savoy Truffle

The Beatles recorded “Savoy Truffle” at Trident Studios on October 3rd, 1968, and the finished song was released on the album The Beatles. “Savoy Truffle” was written by George Harrison about his good friend Eric Clapton’s most recent addiction – chocolates.

While My Guitar Gently Weeps

“While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” written by George Harrison and released on The Beatles, features Eric Clapton on lead guitar. Harrison brought his friend in to play guitar in hopes of finally getting his song recognized by the other Beatles. The ploy worked and Clapton was featured on the track, albeit uncredited.
