All Together Now

Paul McCartney quickly wrote “All Together Now” as an upbeat edition to the Beatles’ upcoming Yellow Submarine film. The band had a cameo at the end of the movie, where they appeared in person and kicked off a reprise of the song.

“All Together Now” was added to the soundtrack and appears in the upcoming re-release of the Yellow Submarine film. Watch the video after the jump!

‘Yellow Submarine’ in Theaters

The new, remastered version of The Beatles’ classic film Yellow Submarine is coming back to the big screen! The film will be shown in select theaters around the country starting on May 10th.

Yellow Submarine to be Digital Restored

The classic animated Beatles film Yellow Submarine will be digitally restored and re-released on DVD and Blu-Ray on May 29th, 2012 in the U.S. The film’s songtrack album will also be reissued on CD on the same date.

Only a Northern Song

George Harrison wrote “Only a Northern Song” as a dig at The Beatles’ publishing company Northern Songs, Ltd. Harrison had a bad deal and did not receive a fair share of publishing royalties. The song was originally written during the Sgt. Pepper’s session but was held off for the film Yellow Submarine.
