My Valentine Video

Paul McCartney has directed new videos for his single “My Valentine” from his recent album Kisses on the Bottom. The videos feature actors Johnny Depp and Natalie Portman performing sign language, and a third combines the 2 performances.

Revolution Live

The Beatles shot a ‘live’ music video for their single “Revolution”, where the band sang the vocals live over a pre-recorded instrumental track. Differences in the vocal performance include Paul McCartney and George Harrison singing backing vocals and John Lennon changing a line to “count me out…in”. The video premiered during a broadcast of The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour in the U.S.

Fool On The Hill

Paul McCartney traveled to France to shoot a sequence for his song “The Fool On The Hill” on October 30th & October 31st, 1967. The video, which featured McCartney miming to the song while traveling through the hills around Nice, was included as part of The Beatles’ film Magical Mystery Tour.

Hello, Hello

The Beatles’ promotional video for the single “Hello, Goodbye” featured the band wearing their Sgt. Pepper uniforms. Three different films were shot, and were only aired in the U.S. since the Musicians Union in the UK had strict rules on miming.

LENNONYC

LENNONYC is a new documentary chronicling the life of John Lennon during his New York City years, between moving to the U.S. in 1972, up until his murder in 1980. The film is available on DVD and Blu-Ray, and is currently being shown on PBS as part of the American Masters series.
