Happy Birthday Bob Dylan!

Wishing a Happy 71st Birthday to Bob Dylan!

Dylan was a huge influence on The Beatles’ songwriting, particularly on John Lennon. This is evident on songs like “You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away,” an early example of the more introspective writing style the band starting using after listening to Dylan’s records.

Happy birthday Bob!

RIP Robin Gibb

Robin Gibb, singer of the group The Bee Gees, has died after a lengthy battle with cancer at the age of 63.

Robin, along with his brothers Barry and Maurice, starred in the 1978 film Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, a poorly received musical based on characters from Beatles songs. Many believe the movie was a “career killer” for The Bee Gees, as well as its other star Peter Frampton.

RIP Robin Gibb.
